Trying to watch Glove and Boots?

This periscope thing seems like a nice idea, but apparently it depends on you being available stop whatever you’re doing to watch something on a social network that relies on information quickly becoming old.

LOL. I visited the periscope website this morning, and saw some suggested portrait mode usage. I made this and sent it to them.

I hope they acknowledge the irony.

Periscope is an iOS app that allows you to live stream video from your mobile device. People are sharing the links to their “Awesome fun time look at what I’m doing right now!” and they are only live for a few minutes. Video isn’t stored anywhere, so by the time you click on their link, it’s over.

I suppose It’s a great tool for press conferences, Q&A streams, or other scheduled things, but for someone to spontaneously share RIGHT NOW, it’s kind of useless

If you haven’t heard of this app now, you’ll probably hear about this week, since someone live streamed the big fight this weekend for free.

So it’s like Snapchat stories. I can’t keep up with all these new apps that want to compete with the big ones.

I think so, but I don’t know how long it caches on their servers. I have never seen one. I keep clicking on them, and get a “expired xxx hours or minutes ago”

(sigh) looks like they are suggesting you use it in portrait mode. Assholes.
